2025 at Poki: A Year in Review

As the year draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible twelve months. It has been a year of unprecedented growth and evolution as we’ve continued to remove the barriers to play and bring the ultimate online playground to more players across the globe for free.

We are lucky enough to be ending the year on a high note with two exciting announcements: new additions from the Subway Surfers universe, and an award win!
We were delighted to expand our partnership with SYBO by integrating two additional titles from the Subway Surfers universe, Subway Surfers Blast and Subway Surfers Match, onto Poki.
We’re also proud to share that Poki won the Best in Business award at the Dutch Game Awards! The award recognises all of the team’s hard work and effort over the past twelve years to build the world’s #1 web games platform as an independent Dutch company.

To support Poki’s rapid expansion, we’ve also been proud to welcome several new members to the team, growing from 50 to 65 full-time employees within the past year alone. As part of this, we welcomed key leadership figures to guide our next chapter: our new Head of People, and VP of Content.
Reflecting on Poki’s success
The scale of engagement across Poki this year is a testament to our core mission of discovery and connection. Our community has grown massively, welcoming 625 million players to our global playground — that includes 100 million players every month.
These players dove into our diverse catalogue, generating a total of 11.1 billion gameplays. Our audience was also dedicated enough to collectively rack up an equivalent of 64,550 years of mobile playtime!
This engagement is a direct result of our focus on curated quality, which helps the best games rise above the noise to find their audience. We are proud to be a trusted environment for creators, ranging from solo indie developers to major hitmaking publishers. This year, we saw 227 new game releases and played host to talented developers from 89 countries globally. Our top performing games were Plonky by Gametornado and SnapStyle Dress Up by PlayCap.
We empower developers to experiment, iterate, and reach global audiences, an approach which saw 1,018 games hit the 1 million+ plays milestone this year. With players tuning in from 193 countries and counting, we won’t be stopping any time soon!
Team events
We couldn’t do it without our wonderful team so we love celebrating our shared wins. With the holiday season approaching, we hosted our annual Winter party, gathering the entire crew to toast our successes and recharge.
