Green Game Jam: Playing together for our planet

Over 30 games from Poki's global community of developers join the 2026 Green Game Jam.

Green Game Jam: Playing together for our planet

Today, a new initiative takes root as we join the 2026 Green Game Jam: an annual project organized by the Playing for the Planet Alliance that brings the games industry together to raise awareness and support for environmental conservation efforts around the world. Since its launch in 2020, the initiative has helped plant more than 1.5 million trees, raise more than $1.5 million in support of conservation efforts, and engage millions of players around the world.

This year, the games industry is rallying around two of the planet’s most important ecosystems: coral reefs and rainforests. Together, they support an incredible amount of biodiversity, providing a home for around a quarter of all marine life and 80% of the world's land species. But both ecosystems are under increasing pressure. More than half of the world's coral reefs and rainforests have already been lost, and those that remain continue to face significant threats.

Alongside PC, mobile, and console games from across the industry, more than 30 web games from Poki’s global developer community are taking part in this year’s Green Game Jam. Participating developers are creating bespoke green activations, introducing rainforest and reef-themed levels, mechanics, events, and game modes directly into their games.

From now until June 30, players can explore a wave of new conservation-inspired content across dozens of participating titles. From fresh cosmetics to entirely new gameplay experiences, each activation is designed to inspire engagement with the Green Game Jam’s reefs and rainforests mission. At the end of the campaign, the top-performing game from the Poki community will be recognized for its contribution to this year's cause.

As a frictionless web platform, Poki enables developers to deliver these updates instantly to more than 100 million monthly players.
