Green Game Jam 2026: Meet Poki’s Winners
The Green Game Jam 2026 awards are in. Find out which Poki games stood out this year and the cause they helped support.

The Green Game Jam's awards ceremony took place last week, hosted by Playing for the Planet at BFI Southbank on Thursday 17 September.
Since it began in 2020, the Green Game Jam has helped plant more than 4 million trees and raised more than $2 million for conservation, bringing games studios together each year to support an environmental cause.
This year's theme centred on coral reefs and rainforests, home to roughly a quarter of all marine life and 80% of the world's land species respectively, with more than half of both ecosystems already lost. More than 70 teams took part in this year's jam, creating environmental-themed levels and skins for games to raise nearly $300,000 for the Rainforest Alliance and Oceana organizations.

Poki took part with more than 30 games from our developer community, each adding a coral reef or rainforest-themed activation between June 5 and June 30. Titles ranged from platformers and puzzle games to dress-up and football games, all positioned on a dedicated page for the event, making it easy for players to discover and play instantly.
Separate from the overall Green Game Jam winner, we're giving out our own Poki Awards to recognise titles that participated on our platform.
Based on performance and creative effort, here are our 2026 winners:
Largest Gameplay Increase: Snake vs Human
Snake vs Human, the shooting game that pits players against giant snakes, is this year's Poki Green Game Jam award winner. Gameplays for the title rose 170% during the campaign, the largest increase of any participating game.

Team's Choice: Blaze Drifter
The 3D racing game from developer Deer Cat Games is this year's Team's Choice pick. Unlike the gameplay award, this one isn't decided by the numbers. It's chosen by the Poki team, recognising the activation they felt stood out most across this year's Green Game Jam lineup.

The seventh edition of the Green Game Jam saw 83 games participate of which 34 were part of Poki’s HTML5 platform. This is the largest number of games from a single organisation participating in one year and we’d like to thank every developer that participated. Year after year the Green Game Jam shows what happens when the games community comes together around one cause. Thank you again to Poki for their efforts in engaging their partners and communities to protect and restore our planet
Thank you to everyone who took part. As a frictionless web platform reaching more than 100 million monthly players, Poki can get a cause like this in front of a lot of people fast, with nothing standing between a player and the games raising money for it. We'd also encourage continued support for the Rainforest Alliance and Oceana beyond the jam itself, because we want the whole world to keep playing, for generations to come.
About Playing for the Planet
Playing for the Planet is a membership-based alliance activating players globally to protect and restore our planet whilst accelerating decarbonisation across the video games industry. Founded in 2019 at the UN Climate Action Summit in New York, the initiative is facilitated by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and has more than 50 video games organisations members from around the world.
The initiative is designed to help those active in the games industry to start their sustainability journey and to level up those already on it. Playing for the Planet produces year-on-year reports on member progress and provides resources, research and guidance in areas such as decarbonisation, target setting and storytelling within games to inspire environmental action.
Playing for the Planet organises the popular and commercially successful Green Game Jam, an annual challenge that invites video game studios with live games and existing audiences to create themed in-game content that engages players on a key environmental topic.
