Game Intelligence 2026: The top car games in the US
See which car games US players love most and how Drive Mad became a clear leader across Poki’s catalogue of 154 car game titles.
Car games on Poki span a wide range of mechanics and genres, from multiplayer battles to physics-based platformers and realistic simulators. We wanted to explore how these different experiences perform and what distinguishes the category’s leading titles.
That’s where Game Intelligence comes in. In this new report series, we’re exploring different categories to find out what games our players like the most. We’ll also be hearing from the developers behind the best ones.
The car games category is a good place to start, as it’s one of the most popular categories on Poki. For our first report, we looked at 154 titles across 12 months of US gameplay data from 2025-2026.
We work with the developers behind these games every day, so it’s exciting to see their work reflected in how people play. Drive Mad, Smash Karts and Blacktop Police Chase offer very different experiences, and each has found an audience on Poki. With Game Intelligence, we want to explore those successes and give the developers a chance to share their side of the story.
Key findings
- Car games account for 10% of all US plays on Poki. Within the category, platform games make up 7% of titles but generate 30% of plays, with Drive Mad contributing most of that total.
- Drive Mad accounts for 23.2% of car game plays, nearly 4x more than the next-largest title.
- Drive Mad also generated over $1 million in global revenue over 12 months.
- Smash Karts has the longest average playtime at 573 seconds per play. That’s 72.6% above the category average.
- Blacktop Police Chase has generated 4.5 million plays since launching in February 2025, making it the category's fastest-growing new title.
- Poki exclusives account for 4 out of the 5 highest ranked games.
Introducing the Poki Score
Play counts are one way to measure a game’s popularity. But this can be skewed by games with disproportionately more plays than others, or ones with massive online reach. And shouldn’t other important KPIs like how long people play for and how many people return to play the games be taken into account?
That’s why we created the Poki Score. This is our own formula that combines these factors. Each one is assigned a weight that determines how much it contributes to the final score.
Once all the chosen games are run through the formula, they are scored out of 10 to give us a true representation of what the most popular games are.

Drive Mad leads with 10, followed by Smash Karts at 9.6 and Blacktop Police Chase at 9.5.
Behind Drive Mad’s success
For developer Fancade, part of the game’s appeal is what happens when players get it wrong.
Drive Mad works because it is simple, funny and a bit chaotic. You instantly understand what to do, but the physics make every level feel unpredictable. Failing is part of the fun, and quick restarts make it easy to try again.
